Tool holders are supplied with their own fixing system which utilises a screw, stirrup and carbide mounting plate.
Tool holders are supplied as either 90° or 75° inclination, depending on your mounting fixture of the tube mill, the difference can be seen in the photos below. The tool holder shank dimensions are also normally standard at 20mm x 20mm, or 25mm x 25mm (for 15mm & 19mm inserts). For 25mm inserts, the shank is 32mm x 32mm, this size is also available for 19mm insert tool holders.

 

 

Tool holders can be supplied in three direction options:

  • Neutral – This tool holder directs the weld flash (chip) up horizontally from the insert and is therefore suitable for any direction tube mill
  • Right – This tool holder has a 3° offset to curl the chip directionally towards the operator on a tube mill with a left to right operation
  • Left – This tool holder has a 3° offset to curl the chip directionally towards the operator on a tube mill with a right to left operation
